2011 Dokdo Korean Language Speaking Contest

1. Details

1) Time  : July 6th, 2011 (Wed.) 2pm

2) Theme : Speech about Dokdo with PowerPoint presentation (7~10 minutes)

            ex. Beautiful Island “Dokdo”, Nature and Geography of Dokdo,

Culture of Dokdo and Ullengdo, Sovereignty of Dokdo, etc.

3) Place  : Daegu University (Gyeongsan Campus)

4) Prize

a. 1st ranking team (1 team) : 2,000,000 KRW, certificate of award

b. 2nd ranking team (2 teams): 1,500,000 KRW, certificate of award

c. 3rd ranking team (3 teams) : 1,000,000 KRW, certificate of award

d. Prize for participation: 300,000 KRW, certificate of award

5) Qualifying teams will be given opportunities to visit Dokdo.

※ Period : July 7th, 2011 (Thr.) ~ July 9th, 2011 (Sat.)

2. Application

1) Period for application: April 29th, 2011 (Fri.) ~ May 19th, 2011 (Thr.)

2) International Students in Korea (Teams of 3~4 students, No individual students)

  ※ International Students who study in Korean language courses, undergraduate,

Graduate, other education courses can apply.

※ If the number of applying teams is over 12 teams, preliminary round will be held

and the schedule will be posted later.

 3) Required Documents

   a. Application Paper (Refer to attached files)

   b. Script for a speech (Free form, Printed A4 size)

   c. PowerPoint Material (Printed A4 size)

   d. Registration certificate, alien Registration card (1 copy of each person)

 4) Submission

   a. Online : Please send e-mail with application paper by May 19th, 2011 5pm.

   b. Post : Other documents for submission (except application) should arrive

by June 3rd, 2011 5pm.
