INVITATION on SPECIAL LECTURE by the PRESIDENT of KOICA

  “International Society and Korea’s Current State of Official Development Assistance (ODA)”


Ajou Graduate School of International Studies has invited the President of KOICA(Korea International Cooperation Agency) to give a special lecture on Korea’s current state of Official Development Assistance(ODA) to the all Ajou students to help students better understand International Society and the Official Development Assistance.


Korea International Cooperation Agency(KOICA) is an organization with the motto of "Making a better world together" to maximize the effectiveness of Korea\\'s grant aid programs for developing countries by implementing the government\\'s grant aid and technical cooperation programs.


The president of KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) will deliver a lecture to Ajou University students with the topic of "International Society and Korea’s Current Status of ODA".  This lecture will be an opportunity for students to have broad knowledge of ODA (Official Development Assistance) and Korea’s grant aid program to developing countries worldwide.


Ajou GSIS invites all international and Korean students who are interested in KOICA and ODA and encourages students to attend this great opportunity to learn more about the Institution and ODA, and also to meet with the President of KOICA. The specific information of the lecture is given the below:


1.     Date & Time: Nov. 25th(Tue), 16:30~17:30pm


2.     Lecturer: Mr. Dae-won Park, the President of KOICA(Korea International Cooperation Agency), former ambassador of Algeria


3.     Lecture Topic: International Society and Korea’s Current State of Official Development Assistance (ODA)


4.     Venue: Yulgok Hall #151, Visual Conference Room


5.     How to attend the special lecture: Due to limited spaces, GSIS will take a sign up sheet from individual students who wish to attend.  Please visit GSIS office for the sign up by November 21st(Friday). ☞First come, first served!!


6.     Method of Lecture: Lecture will be given in Korean however; English script will be shown on the screen during the lecture for international students.  Lecture materials will also given in both Korean and English to all students attending the lecture.  During the Q & A session, session will be covered primarily in English but some interpretation will also be supported for students in need of interpretation.
