On October 10th, Ajou University's Graduate School of International Studies held the 3rd Share Your Country event at Yulgok Hall.

During the event, international students prepared posters highlighting their respective countries. The student participants hail from 20 countries, including Nepal, Laos, Mongolia, Algeria, Ecuador, Iran, Zimbabwe, Kenya, and Kirgizstan.

In particular, all of the students in the Department of Energy System Research under the KOICA scholarship participated in the event and introduced their countries’ energy industries and related policies, and shared their improvement ideas based on their majors.

Dean Byoung Kwan Kim of the Graduate School of International Studies, Guiding Professor of the KOICA program Hyung Taek Kim, Professor Troy Felver of the Department of Business Administration, and Professor Ian Watson of the Department of NGO Studies and the Department of International Development and Cooperation joined the session to encourage the student participants and listen to their presentations.

Dean Byoung Kwan Kim said, "Today's event was meaningful in that the participants presented the issues facing their countries through international perspectives by sharing with others," adding, "I hope that this experience will provide insights to contribute to the development of your home countries as experts after graduation."

The Graduate School of International Studies has five departments – the Department of International Business, the Department of International Trade, the Department of NGO Studies, the Department of International Development and Cooperation, and the Department of Energy System Research. About 220 international students from 38 countries are attending graduate courses at Ajou University.
