[16.08.08]

Ajou University held various education programs in July for elementary, middle, and high school students, middle school teachers, and local citizens as part of the Software Specialized University Project. The programs were organized to enhance their understanding of the values of software.

The programs consisted of the Junior Game Software Academy (July 16 – 29), the Software Academy for Teachers (July 23 – 26), and the Youth Software Camp (July 27 – 29).

Ajou's Department of Software joined hands with the Suwon Municipal Government in organizing the event.

The University plans to continue to hold software education programs. In September and November, another Junior Game Software Academy is scheduled for elementary school students. During the winter vacation, there will be additional sessions of the Youth Software Camp for elementary, middle, and high school students and the Software Academy for Teachers. In addition, the Online Software Academy for Citizens, which will educate Suwon citizens on Big Data and the Internet of Things (IoT), will be launched in September.

Last year, Ajou University was selected as a ‘Software Specialized University' by the Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning, and it will receive an annual average of two billion won over up to six years.
