[16.07.28]

Geun Woo Lim (pictured above), a graduate of Ajou University, was appointed as a professor by Telecom ParisTech in France. Lim is scheduled to begin teaching at the institute from this September.

After finishing his undergraduate course in Ajou's Department of Computer Engineering in 2007, Lim obtained a master's degree and received a PhD from the Department of Computer Engineering at the University in 2014. He then completed a post-doctoral program in the BK21 Plus Project Team ('Creative Talents Fostering Team for Autonomic Network Software for Smart Collaboration among Different Devices,' leader Professor Young Bae Ko) and served as a researcher at LIP6 in France.

Telecom ParisTech, one of the Grandes Écoles in France, is a leader in information and communications technology. It was established in 1878 and has about 1,400 students. Lim will teach students in the Department of Computer Science and Networking.

Lim said, "I would like to conduct outstanding research through various collaborations with companies and researchers from South Korea."

He went on to say, "Ajou's students have world-class abilities that can be recognized in other countries," adding, "I believe that they will be able to accomplish their dreams if they make their best efforts."
