A delegation led by China's Communist Party Secretary Wang Li Tong for Caofeidian District visits Ajou

A delegation led by Communist Party Secretary Wang Li Tong for the Caofeidian District, China, visited Ajou University on the afternoon of May 17th.
 
The 13-member delegation included officials from the Caofeidian District, the Synergy Development Institute for the Caofeidian District, the Korea-China-Japan Economic Development Association, and Bao Tong Company. President Dong Yeon Kim greeted the delegates in front of Yulgok Hall at around 2 p.m. upon their arrival and talked with them for about 20 minutes.
 
President Kim said, "I feel sorry that I can have only a limited time with you because of the visit of the Indonesian President later today," adding, "I look forward to seeing the development of the Caofeidian District in person next time."
 
Secretary Wang said, "I want to thank you for welcoming us despite your busy schedule," adding, "I would like to have extensive cooperation with Ajou University."
 
The delegation then introduced the Caofeidian District in a meeting with Chairman Ho Seok Choo of the Daewoo Educational Foundation and President of the University Medical Center and Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs Hee Sug Ryu. Officials from the University also briefed the delegates about Ajou and the University Medical Center and the two sides discussed bilateral cooperation.
 
Secretary Wang said, "The Caofeidian District is one of the areas with the highest potential for development in China," adding, "The local government is seeking a virtuous economic circle by actively attracting universities and improving the quality of education in general." He went on to emphasize, "I am eager to attract excellent higher educational institutions and medical centers like Ajou."
 
The delegation concluded their visit with a tour of the University Medical Center facilities.
