President Dong Yeon Kim and about 230 students from Ajou University participated in the '2016 Seoul Forum,' which was organized by The Seoul Economic Daily.
The Forum was held on May 11th and the 12th at the Shilla Hotel under the theme 'Artificial Intelligence & Bio: The Next Korea.'
Six sessions took place in the following order: 'AI & Humanoid Robots,' 'Self-Driving Cars,' 'Wearable Robots & VR,' 'Drone & Robot Advisers,' 'Discover a Secret of Human Life (Red Bio),' and 'Open the Era of Bio-Economy (Bio Healthcare).' Ajou University Professor Kam Dong Gun (Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering) joined the panel discussion of the first session as a renowned artificial intelligence expert in South Korea.
President Kim appeared onstage with greetings on the 12th prior to the third session and introduced Paran Semester saying, "There is an English proverb, ‘A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor.' Ajou University is encouraging students to take on challenges and find what they really want to do by allowing them to earn credits through their desired activities," adding, "I hope that the Forum will be an opportunity for the participants here to meet the challenges of the rise of artificial intelligence and bio."
The University students invited to the event were able to listen to lectures at all the sessions free of charge.
