Professor Tae Young Yoon from Ajou University Law School (pictured above) received the Second Excellent Paper Award from the Korea Association of Comparative Private Law (KACPL).

The Award was created in 2014 to encourage the creative research activities of scholars in the field of private law. KACPL is a leading academic society based on private law in South Korea and has about 400 members, including professors with related majors and lawyers.

The paper that earned Professor Yoon the Award is entitled "The Fiduciary Duties of Trustee," and it appeared in May 2015 in the second issue of Volume 22 of The Journal of Comparative Private Law published by KACPL.

In the paper, Professor Yoon compared Anglo-American and Korean laws, analyzed the differences between trust and delegation, and provided an in-depth explanation of the fiduciary duties of trustees. Prior to his paper, there had been limited studies on fiduciary duties in South Korea.
