Ajou's School of Business Administration is EPAS accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development

The School of Business Administration under Ajou University was accredited for its bachelor degree program by EPAS, an international business and/or management program accreditation system operated by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).

EFMD is a leading international network of graduate schools of business administration and corporate members. It contributes to establishing and developing educational standards and improving the quality of business and/or management programs.

Last November, EFMD sent a four-member team to Ajou for the purpose of on-site evaluation as part of the accreditation process. Accreditation of the University program was then officially confirmed in February after review and a vote at its Board of Directors meeting.

About 100 institutions in 34 countries have gained the EFMD accreditation, and Ajou's School of Business Administration is the first among Korean universities to be accredited for the bachelor degree program. Yonsei University, Korea University, and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology received the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation from EFMD, a combined certification of undergraduate and graduate programs. The EPAS accreditation follows an integrated endorsement in 2014 of Ajou's undergraduate and graduate programs in business administration from the Korean Association of Business Education Accreditation (KABEA).

Dean Bong Heui Han of the School of Business Administration said, "The EPAS accreditation is an international recognition of the excellence of Ajou's business administration program," adding, "It is expected to further expand our global network, help attract excellent students from home and abroad, and boost our efforts to align the business administration programs to the global level."
