Ajou appoints 28 new professors for spring semester of the 2016 academic year

A ceremony for presenting certificates of appointment to Ajou University’s new professors for the spring semester of the 2016 academic year took place on the morning of February 18th in Conference Room 1 of Yulgok Hall, along with an orientation.

The number of newly appointed professors is twenty eight, including 13 professors for the University and 15 professors for the University Hospital.

The ceremony was attended by Ajou’s President Dong Yeon Kim, Executive Vice President for Industry-Academia Cooperation Kyung Hee Choi, Dean of the Graduate School Joong Soon Jang, and other professors with administrative positions, as well as the new professors.

In his greetings, President Kim said, “I would like to thank you and congratulate you on becoming members of the Ajou family,” adding, “I ask you to renew your commitment and make great contributions to the University in the future."

He went on to say, "I always welcome different voices, innovative thoughts, and creative ideas," adding, "I would like you to try new things that can break existing customs and practices."

The ceremony was followed by a welcome luncheon and an introduction by each department of its functions.
