NEW Professor Kim Kwang-yoon Appointed as a Chairman of the Audit Quality Control Review Committee of KICPA

Professor Kim Kwang-yoon of Ajou University Division of Business Administration was appointed as a chairman of the Audit Quality Control Review Committee of KICPA(Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants). The committee, which consists of a chairman and about 10 thousand certified public accountants, takes disciplinary actions against poor or inappropriate audits. The chairman of the Audit Quality Control Review Committee also serves as a two-year non-standing audit review commissioner of the Financial Services Commission.

Before serving as a professor at Ajou University, he had managed his own accounting office. During the tenure at Ajou University, he has been serving as a vice chairman of the Accounting Committee and chairman of the Auditing Standards Board of the KICPA, which are the lower ranks than his present post in the institute. In addition, Prof. Kim had also worked as a president of the Korean Academic Society of Taxation and Korean Accounting Association.
