- According to Analysis of articles for Academic Research Project by KRF

Ajou University was ranked 8th among Korean universities in terms of the quality of the articles listed the SCI published in the last fiver years from 2003. Also, the university was ranked 6th in terms of the impact factor of the articles listed in the SCI and the number of times articles were cited.

Korea Research Institute (KRF) revealed its analysis of the articles for the academic research promotion project it sponsored from 2003 to 2007 using the "multiple index." The "multiple index" refers to an index developed by KRF to analyze and evaluate the published articles for the KRF-sponsored academic research promotion project in terms of the impact factor (IF) of the articles listed in the SCI and the number of times cited as a primary or secondary source. The three-dimensional multiple index allows to evaluate research results in relation to research funding by overcoming the limits of fragmentary evaluation factors.
