Ajou's Professor Dong Seon Hwang is selected for the Samsung Project for Supporting Futuristic Technologies

Ajou University Professor Dong Seon Hwang (Department of Mathematics) was selected in the Basic Science category for the 'Second Half of 2016 Samsung Project for Supporting Futuristic Technologies ' with his study entitled "Classification and the Applications of Q-homology Projective Planes."


Under the project, Samsung pays research expenses for certain completed tasks after reviewing their accomplishments, researchers' abilities, the creativity of future research plans, and industrial influences, etc. Samsung has selected 272 tasks since 2013 and plans to contribute 1.5 billion won over the next decade. In the latest selection, a total of 28 studies were chosen in the categories of Basic Science, Materials Technology, and ICT.
