Graduate student Jung Choi (major: media content) from Ajou University won the Award Certificate for Excellent Researcher in the BK21 Plus Project. The award presentation ceremony was held on March 8th at the Amoris building in Seoul, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Joon Sik Lee presented the awards to the winners.

The Ministry of Education held the event to discover and encourage talents with high development potential from among the researchers of 545 groups participating in the BK21 Plus Project. The 30 award-winners were chosen through public evaluations over the Internet, etc., of those recommended by individual project groups.

As a member of the Digital Therapy Convergence Talents Fostering Group (leader: Gyu Hwan Oh), Choi is participating in the research project entitled 'Improving the Quality of Lives through Music.' Before entering the graduate school, he had experience in various activities in applied music, including being in a band and composing video music, which has provided insight into his current research. Last year, Choi won the Excellent Poster Award in the Student Category at Nucl.ai in Austria, the largest worldwide conference on artificial intelligence applications.
