BMW Korea plans to donate 300 million won to Ajou University's Game-changing Revolution Fund. The company contributed 100 million won for the first year after promising a 300-million-won donation over two years.

The donation was decided at a breakfast meeting on December 5th, in which Ajou University President Dong Yeon Kim discussed support for unification-related activities with CEO Hyo Joon Kim of BMW Korea and German Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Stephan Auer. At the meeting, the German government agreed to participate in the University's unification-related programs.

The donation from BMW Korea will be used for unification-related education and research activities, the campaign for raising awareness of unification, and international cooperation activities relating to North and South Koreas, etc.

BMW Korea has built a close partnership with Ajou based on its acknowledgement of the Game-changing Revolution Campaign. It supports annual internships for two students from Ajou (three months at its office in Korea and three months at its German headquarters) and participates in the After You Program and the Paran Semester as a partner company.

Ajou plans to use the donation from BMW Korea to develop and carry out new programs related to unification. These include organizing on-site activities for students (including academic exchanges with students from neighboring countries), a paper contest on North Korea and unification, exchanges between students from Ajou University and German universities, and student exchanges with their counterparts from socialist and former communist countries. BMW Korea and the German Embassy in Korea will participate in the programs.
