* Title : Green 6G with Integrated Radar Sensing and Communications

* Abstract : Joint radar-communication (JRC) is envisioned as emerging sixth generation (6G) technology to tackle spectral congestion and hardware limitations by jointly implementing the communication and radar sensing on the same hardware platform, and using the common radio frequency (RF) resources. In this seminar, we will look into hardware and energy efficient approaches for multipleinput multiple-output (MIMO) JRC systems in order to carry out efficient integrated radar sensing and communication operations while exploiting hybrid beamforming, RF chain optimization and low resolution digital-to-analog converter (DAC) bit selection. We will also observe a dual function JRC waveform design with low hardware complexity implemented for simultaneous communication with multiple downlink users and radar target detection. A quick highlight on recent spectrally efficient JRC design with RF selection, interference and hardware impairments will be also shared.
