강연초록: The Askey-Wilson polynomials are at the top of the classical orthogonal polynomials in one variable, and depend up
on 5 parameters a, b, c, d, and a q. In this talk I will survey interpretations of the moments of the Askey-Wilson measure:

(1) as generating functions of the steady-state solution to the Markov chain called the asymmetrical exclusion process (ASEP),
(2) as generating functions of lattice paths,
(3) as generating functions of matchings.

This is joint work with Corteel, Kim, Stanley and Williams.
