Recall that a countable discrete group G is amenable if there exists a sequence of fi nite nonempty subsets of G
which is a Folner sequence. We will prove that each in finite countable amenable group G admits a tiling with fi nitely
many almost invariant shapes, and then as an application we construct a zero-dimensional free G-action with zero
topological entropy. The talk is based on my joint work with T. Downarowicz and D. Huczek (both from Poland).
