2014 Winter Vacation Internship Opportunity

 

Upon students’ request and desire for internship opportunities at the Korean companies or institutions, GSIS is currently working hard to provide some internship opportunities with the GSIS students during 2014 winter vacation period. So GSIS would like to know how many students are interested in and are willing to participate for the internship opportunities.

 

Students who have interested in this internship, please read the following information carefully and send the completed form of the attachment via GSIS email gsis@ajou.ac.kr no later than December  5, 2014.  Those students who do not send a form to confirm their willingness to participate for the internship will NOT be included for further process. Students should make careful decision and inform the wishes for a fine process.

 

Please note that this is a pre-step for fine internship opportunity and process, and the finalized internship information will be announced again around the end of November and early December for official internship application process.

 

2014 Winter Internship Introduction

 

  • Eligibility: GSIS students who have completed at least two semesters at the end of 2014 fall semester (students currently in the 2nd semester are included). Students who are expected to graduate (4th or higher semester) cannot apply.
  • How to apply: Please send the completed form of the attachment and submit your scholastic records to participate in the internship via email to gsis@ajou.ac.kr or visit the GSIS office by December 5, 2014 (please meet the deadline)
  • Internship Period: Between January ~ February, about 4 weeks or 8 weeks long (internship period varies according to the companies’ circumstances)
  • Possible Companies and Institutions : TBA
  • Job Description: Basic business research or office work related to the companies’ needs and may need your native language other than English and knowledge about your country. Job description can be different according to the companies or the division of the company. The final information will also be announced around the end of December 2014.
  • Salary: Unpaid ( A partial stipend can be provided according to the company and this could also vary according to the companies situations)

  • Note 1: Please note that this process is a pre-process for internship, and students who send the form DOES NOT mean that they will be benefited from this internship.  Due to the companies’ and institutions’ circumstances and preferences, country, work experience and any other work/educational related information will be highly considered.
  • Note 2: This internship will be recognized as a ‘Business Internship’ course (3 credits) during the winter vacation period or during Spring semester 2014.

               4 weeks Internship – Business Internship 1 or NGO Internship

                                                 (3 Credits, Major Electives)

               8 weeks Internship – NGO Internship 2 or IDC Internship 2

                                                 (3 Credits, Not counted as graduation requirement)
