Notification for TB test

Notice for Tuberculosis Test

Since the number of foreign students in Korea continues to increase, the Government of Korea has decided to implement a policy of tuberculosis test for foreign students.

16 countries which are high-risk nations of tuberculosis are subjected to the TB test.      (Source: Global Tuberculosis Report 2013, WHO)

Cambodia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Indonesia, India, Nepal, Vietnam, Thailand, Russia, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, China and Sri Lanka.

If you are diagnosed with Tuberculosis then you can only remain in the country if you submit a written oath of treatment. If you avoid treatment on purpose then you will be deported by the Government of Korea.

If you go to the health care center by yourself, you may face some difficulties alone so we will provide you Nubi service on 6th and 9th of March. Please let us know which date you can join. If not, as you need the TB test result for the alien registration, make sure you get to the health care center before 9th March as the results will take at least 2 days after the test.

Please refer the following schedule for the TB test and complete it within the deadline.

Things to bring

Certificate of Admission or Certificate of registration and 3.5 x 4.5 size photo.

 

 

 

Nubi service for Ajou GSIS Students (Tuberculosis Test)

  1. Please come to the front of Yulgok building by 8am 6th March(Fri) or 3pm 9th March(Mon)
  2. Nubi students will guide you to the Yeongtong Public Health Care Center
  3. Please don’t forget to bring all the requirements.

 

 

  • IMPORTANT: Only the results from Yeongtong Public Health Care Center will be accepted.
