Volunteering Recruitment Notice

Suwon Cultural Foundation is inviting you as a volunteer guide in Suwon Hwaseong area which is the world cultural heritage designated by UNESCO. Please join and enhance your experience in Suwon, Korea.

◎ Required Language: English

◎ Recruiting Numbers: 5~6 students

◎ Recruiting Schedule

- Application Deadline: Thu, 24, Sep, 2015

- Training Session: A day during the 1^st week of Oct. 2015.

◎ Qualification

- A student of GSIS

- Able to communicate in Korean (beginner’s level)

※ Desirable qualification: Interests in Korean history

◎ Main Activities and Volunteering Hours

- Providing tourist information about ‘Suwon Hwaseong’ to visitors (facilities, activities, etc.)

- At least twice a month (4 hours/day)

◎ Volunteering Period

- Trial volunteering during “Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival (Thu, 8, Oct, 2015 ~ Sun, 11, Oct, 2015)”

※ at least 2 days during the festival period.

- Regular volunteering schedules will be settled after the festival

※ Dates and volunteering period can be chosen depending on individual schedules

◎ Benefits

- Small compensation for volunteering

- Certificate of volunteering (KOR or ENG)

- Familiarization Tour of Suwon Hwaseong
