NUBI Farewell Party – November 28, 2025On November 28th, Farewell Party was held in Yeonam Hall, hosted by the International Cooperation Team. The event marked the conclusion of the 36th Nubi Ajou activities.This semester’s farewell party was themed “K-pop Demon Hunters,” built around the idea of protecting Nubi Ajou’s memories from demons trying to disrupt them. In line with the theme, a series of entertaining game programs were prepared. Participants competed in Sound of Light, where they listened to OST snippets and guessed the movie titles; Song of Light, where GSIS students sang along to Korean songs and teams identified the track titles; and Dance of Light, which involved recognizing songs by watching team members imitate choreography from music videos.Throughout the event, fried chicken, pizza, and gimbap were provided, allowing participants to share a relaxing meal together and enjoy a friendly, lively atmosphere.The farewell party created a meaningful space for participants to look back on the semester while enjoying engaging activities. The event concluded with students promising to meet GSIS members again soon, bringing the 36th Nubi Ajou program to a successful close.

NUBI Ajou One-Day Café – November 28th, 2025 On November 28th, the “One-Day Café” event was held in Dasan Hall from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event was organized as a promotional activity for the ‘NUBI Ajou’, welcoming anyone who are members in NUBI as well as other visitors who stopped by. Participants were invited to enjoy two kinds of drinks—Misugaru and Iced Tea— served with two pieces of mini yakgwa. The warm and friendly booth atmosphere encouraged many students to drop by between classes, chat with the staffs, and enjoy a short break during their day. Throughout the event, NUBI Ajou members interacted with guests, introduced the purpose of the club, and shared information about upcoming activities. Even students who were not familiar with NUBI Ajou showed great interest and participated, making the café livelier than expected. The casual yet welcoming vibe of the One-Day Café created a space for communication and connection. Thanks to the steady stream of visitors and the engaging atmosphere, the event successfully fulfilled its goal as a meaningful promotional opportunity for NUBI AJOU.

On Tuesday, November 26, a delegation from the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) at Ajou University, led by Dean Byeong-Yun Chang and Director Hyunbae Moon of the Office of Academic Affairs, visited Tashkent to host a special reunion for alumni of the Ajou GSIS – GSBE Dual Degree Program.The event brought together 20 participants, including nine graduates from the program's 1st cohort, seven from the 2nd cohort, and four current students from the 4th cohort who are currently studying in Uzbekistan.The gathering highlighted the professional achievements of the alumni, many of whom are now performing pivotal roles in various government agencies and major corporations across Uzbekistan. The event served as a platform for graduates to share updates on their careers and lives while fostering connections between different cohorts. Attendees actively discussed strategies to maintain continuous exchange and strengthen the alumni network in the region.The Ajou GSIS – GSBE program is a dual degree initiative established through a partnership between Ajou University and the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship (GSBE) under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan. The program allows students to earn degrees from both institutions.To date, the program has successfully produced 17 graduates from the 1st cohort and 22 from the 2nd cohort. The program remains active and robust, with 17 students from the 3rd cohort currently studying at Ajou GSIS in Korea, and 17 students from the 4th cohort currently enrolled at GSBE in Uzbekistan.

NUBI AJOU Night of Nubi - November 22, 2025 The volunteer organization NUBI Ajou, affiliated with Ajou University’s Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS), held its annual “2025 Night of Nubi Members” on Saturday, November 22, 2025. The event brought together current and former members (YB & OB) to celebrate the end of the semester and strengthen intergenerational ties.The evening began with opening remarks from Wonsam Kim (Head of the Korean Exchange Team, 36th cohort) and Gimin Lee (President, 36th cohort). Programs included the icebreaker “NUBINGO,” a Kahoot! quiz on NUBI Ajou’s history, a Relay Interview, the “Twisted Lyrics Challenge,” and a lucky draw.A video segment titled “Nubi-Mubi,” along with messages from members who could not attend, added a warm sense of community. The time capsule created during the 34th Night of Nubi Members was opened, after which participants wrote new letters for the 2025 capsule.The evening concluded with a gift exchange, closing ceremony, and cleanup. Participants shared that the event was meaningful and memorable, especially with OB and YB members joining together.

On November 14, 2025, GSIS master’s students headed to Kia AutoLand Gwangmyeong for an insightful look into Korea’s automotive industry. During the visit, students learned about Korean corporate culture, observed the car manufacturing process, and explored a variety of vehicle models. They gained firsthand experience of production techniques, assembly lines, and the operations of a major Korean company. Students also had the chance to ask questions, take photos, and even ride in the cars themselves, which made the experience both educational and engaging. The day offered a hands-on learning opportunity that gave the GSIS community a deeper insight into Korea’s industrial landscape.

NUBI AJOU Halloween Party – October 31, 2025 On October 31, the Nubi Halloween Party, hosted by the Cultural Exchange Team, took place at Yulgok Hall 258. The event brought together GSIS and NUBI AJOU for a fun and exciting evening filled with laughter and cultural exchange.The Halloween event featured decorations of pumpkins, ghosts, and warm lights, creating a festive Halloween atmosphere. Students dressed up in creative costumes from witches and vampires to funny parodies and filled the room with laughter as they took photos and enjoyed the evening together.Students participated in hands-on games such as Escape from the Witch’s Room, Ghost Hunting, and Making Halloween Lanterns, which encouraged teamwork and friendly interaction. The night continued with snacks, drinks, a lucky draw, and a Best Costume Award ceremony, as everyone enjoyed a truly memorable Halloween night together.The Nubi Halloween Party was a meaningful opportunity for students from different cultures to connect and share joy.NUBI AJOU will continue to host events that bring GSIS and NUBI closer together through fun, cultural, and memorable experiences.

36th NUBI Ajou Cooking Class - November 8th, 2025On November 8th, The event “Cooking class” was held by the International Cooperation Team and Foreign Exchange Team in Yulgok Hall. Cooking class was a hands-on cooking event.We started with some icebreaker activities, which led into a quiz on traditional foods from around the world. Afterward, we had fun playing the Korean traditional games, Tuho(Pitch-pot) and Dakji Chigi and at the end, top teams got to choose their preferred beverages based on their game rankings.For the main part of event, cooking class, today’s menu was Injeolmi, a korean rice cake shaped into small pieces and covered with steamed powdered dried beans or other ingredients, participants kneaded the Injeolmi dough, shaped it into pretty forms, and then coated it with various powder for the flavor. After the cooking everyone tasted it and shared it with others.The traditional games and the experience of making Injeolmi made for a truly memorable and enjoyable time.

The 2025 Ajou-Suwon Scholarship Award Ceremony was successfully held at the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS), Ajou University.Distinguished guests from the Suwon Center for International Cooperation — Mr. Lee Sung-joo, Chief; Ms. Kim Soo-hae, Director; and Ms. Kang Yoo-jin, Associate Manager — joined the ceremony along with GSIS faculty members, including Dean Chang Byeong-yun, Professor Kang Min-hyung, and Professor Jung Hyung-uk.This year, Mr. Depardon Jasso Luis Felipe and Ms. Salma El Miqdame were selected as the 2025 Ajou-Suwon Scholarship recipients. Last year’s awardees, Ms. Zineb Moustakime and Ms. Diana Mora Pichardo, also attended to celebrate and congratulate the new recipients, making the event even more meaningful.Established in 2014, the Ajou-Suwon Scholarship aims to strengthen cooperation and academic exchange between Ajou University and Suwon’s sister and friendship cities. The program offers tuition and living support to outstanding international students, and so far, 24 students from 8 cities have successfully graduated through this initiative.The ceremony concluded with congratulatory remarks, certificate presentations, and a joyful group photo capturing the spirit of celebration and friendship. The GSIS community looks forward to continuing its strong partnership with the Suwon Center for International Cooperation and to supporting more talented students in the years ahead.
