University Teaching Position in Suwon

Ajou University in Suwon is looking for a qualified, full-time native speaking English instructor to begin teaching in fall semester, 2014.

Position:

Lecture Professor

Qualifications:

  • - Masters degree (English Education/TESOL preferred)
  • - Native Speaker of English
  • - Korean university teaching experience preferred
  • - Composition-focused teaching experience preferred

Duties:

  • Lecture Professors teach five 3-credit university courses per semester. This amounts to 15 classroom hours per week. You are expected to keep proper course records, maintain regular office hours, and attend meetings in addition to your classroom duties. Some extracurricular participation is also expected in activities such as the English Café (a monthly evening event) and the Writing Clinic.


Working Conditions:


  • Full-time position
  • Week-day schedule
  • Shared office (2 instructors)
  • One year contract, renewable with good standing
