NEW Ajou University students visit Switzerland, Germany, and the U.S. for academic exchanges

Twenty-four students from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering, who were led by Professor Dong Woo Jee (Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering) and Professor Byeong Nam Jo (Department of Mechanical Engineering), visited Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zürich and the Technical University of Berlin from January 11-18.
 
At the two institutions, the students toured research facilities and attended special lectures on the 4th Industrial Revolution, as well as participating in exchanges with local students.
 
The program is part of the overseas education under the 'Intelligent Semiconductor Sensor and Applied Innovation Track' of the 2019 LINC+ Innovation Leading University for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Project. It aims to foster creative talents in fundamental semiconductor technology for the future and improve the capabilities of students who have taken classes on related subjects.
 
Another group of 32 students were sent to Las Vegas, etc. in the U.S. from January 5-15 to observe the Consumer Electronics Show, the largest electronics exposition in the world. Professor Kyo Beum Lee from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering led the students.
 
They then traveled to San Francisco and Los Angeles to visit Tesla, Intel, and Samsung Electronics and met with Ajou University alumni based in Northern California at the KOTRA office in Silicon Valley.
