2022-1ST SEMESTER DORMITORY APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

 

 

From 1st semester of year 2022, the dormitory application periods will defer, please note the application period for each building as follows:

 

1. OPERATION PERIOD OF THE DORMITORY FOR THE 1ST SEMESTER OF YEAR 2022:

   22 Feb 2022 (Tue) ~ 30 June 2022 (Thu)

 

 

2. CRITERIA OF APPLICANT:

   1) Enrolled Undergraduate, Graduate, Law School  Students.

   2) If you are a graduate student who completed the course works, you can ONLY apply to the dormitory when you submit the below documents.

      - Statement of Supervisor 1 copy (See the attachment)

      - Completion certificate 1 copy

     * Please submit these copies during the dormitory application period for each building, you can only stay in the dormitory up to 6 semesters from the completion date of coursework, if there are enough rooms in the dormitory.

     * You need to combine the above copies to One PDF file and attach it on the application system when you proceed to apply for the dormitory.


 

3. APPLICATION PERIODS:

   1) International dormitory: 15 Jan 2022 (Sat)~ 18 Jan 2022 (Tue)

   2) Hwahong hall 2-person bedroom: 22 Jan 2022 (Sat) ~ 25 Jan 2022 (Tue)

   3) Hwahong hall 4-person bedroom: 29 Jan 2022 (Sat) ~ 2 Feb 2022 (Wed)

 

4. ANNOUNCEMENT OF SELECTED INCOMING STUDENT:

   1) International dormitory: 21 Jan 2022 (Fri)

   2) Hwahong hall 2-person bedroom: 28 Jan 2022 (Fri)

   3) Hwahong hall 4-person bedroom: 7 Feb 2022 (Mon)

 

 

5. NOTE PRECAUTIONS DURING THE APPLICATION:

   1) If you are accepted, you are not able to apply for another building in next application period, please do apply for dormitory carefully.

     eg. If you are accepted for the international dormitory, you cannot apply for the Hwahong hall.

 

   2) If you are not accepted, your name will be listed on the waiting list. If your name is listed on the waiting list, you can't apply for the another building. Please request for the removal of your name from the waiting list, if you want to apply for the another building in the next application period.

 

   3) Those who defer the graduation, you can only apply for the dormitory when you take the classes after the registration study.

 

   4) Room allocation:

      International dormitory: 2 people will be allocated to 2-person bedroom

      Hwahong hall 4-person bedroom: 3 people will be allocated

      Hwahong hall 2-person bedroom: 1 person will be allocated

  

   5) Student who enters the graduate school after the completion of undergraduate from the Ajou university, please apply for the dormitory with your new Stdent ID number given for a Graduate student.

 

   6) After the application for each building is over, you cannot apply for the dormitory although it is before registration period. Please apply for the dormitory within the application period.

 

 

6. APPLICATION ROUTE:

1) For Enrolled Undergraduate, Graduate Students

    Step 1. Access to Ajou portal  https://mportal.ajou.ac.kr/main.do

    Step 2. Click "로그인하세요(Log in)" Top right of the page

    Step 3.Change language into English - it is bottom of the page

    Step 4. Click "(New)Academic Affairs Information (학사서비스)"

    Step 5. Click "Application for Student living"

    Step 6. Click "Dormitory Application" (Left side of the page)

 

2) New Graduate student, Enrolled Exchange Students:

Log in at the online housing application system web page: https://edorm.ajou.ac.kr/edorm/index.jsp

After log in to the above website, please select the relevant option in blue box.

8. REGISTRATION PERIODS (PAYMENT): 14 Feb 2022 (Mon) ~ 18  Feb 2022 (Fri)

If you fail to the bill during the registration periods, your application might be cancelled without further notice.

 

To print out the invoice, go to "Application Status" -> "Print Bill"

 

You can also print out the invoice during the registration period from the Ajou portal.

Route:

    Step 1. Access to Ajou portal https://mportal.ajou.ac.kr/main.do > Login > Change Language

    Step 2. (New) Application Affairs Information (학사서비스)

    Step 3. Application for Student living (학생생활신청)

    Step 4. Dormitory Application (입사신청)

    Step 5. Application Status > Print Bill (고지서 출력)

 

If you are not able to print out the invoice from the Ajou portal, please contact the dormitory coordinator for foreign students at rebecca2109@ajou.ac.kr

 

You can transfer dorm fee from 01:00 am ~ 17:00 pm (Korean time) to the virtual account during the registration periods.

 

9. Required documents before move in

   1) Tuberculosis Test

a. Before moving in to the dormitory, all residents should submit the result of a Tuberculosis (TB) test.

b. The result sheet must show either normal or abnormal of TB in English or Korean.

c. Without the result sheet, students cannot move in the dormitory. The tuberculosis check result should be updated every year because it is valid for 1 year.

d. If your tuberculosis test has expired, you must email a new TB test result to the dormitory office.

 

   2) PCR test result

If you are residents for the winter semster of 2021, you are not required to submit PCR test result. PCR test must be conducted within 2 days from your move in day/

 

   3) Please submit these documents (TB, PCR test results) to the dormitory coordinator
