DORMITORY APPLICATION FOR FALL SEMESTER 2024


 Ajou dormitory is informing of the dormitory application notice for 2024 Fall semester.The application method has changed from before, so check and apply carefully. Please check the future announcement for dormitory fee payment instructions.


1. OPERATION PERIOD OF THE DORMITORY FOR THE FALL SEMESTER OF YEAR 2024: 24 Aug. 2024 (Sat) ~ 23 Dec. 2024 (Mon)

Ajou dormitory will not accept early move in and late move out, you cannot request to put your stuff before you move in.


2. 2024 FALL SEMESTER DORMITORY APPLICATION SCHEDULE

The 2nd round of selection will be based on the remaining seats after the 1st round application period. We recommend applying during the first application period.

3. NOTES FOR APPLICATION (신청시유의사항)

1) All buildings have the same application date.

2) After The 1st round of applications-> announcement of selection results -> room selection-> payment, the 2nd round of applications will be conducted for any remaining vacancies.If there are no remaining vacancies after the first round, the second round may not take place. Therefore, it is advisable to apply during the first round if possible.

3) Students selected in the first round are not eligible to apply in the second round. Please carefully select the building and type during the first round of application.

4) Even if you select the option to stay in the same room staying now during the second round of application, it will not be reflected, and room assignments will be made based on remaining vacancies after the first round.

5) If you apply for the same type of building for the summer semester, you will be allocated to the same room you lived in during the fall semester. Therefore, don't worry if you can't check the box indicating that you want to keep the room as it is when you apply.

And if you wish to stay in a different room for the fall semester, you can select your room through the Ajou portal system on July 22.(The instructions will be posted on the website notice later, so please check it after you have been selected for the dormitory.)

6) Don't transfer dormitory fee from abroad.

The exact amount will not be remitted due to the remittance fee or exchange rate change.

New student who do not enter Korea during the dormitory fee payment period can pay after entering Korea. The schedule is from SEP. 4th to SEP. 11th, and We will post a notice later.


4. CRITERIA OF APPLICANT (신청대상):

EnrolledUndergraduate, Graduate Students, Exchange Student, CIE students for Korean programs.

1) If you are an undergraduate student who completes the course work or a special graduate student, you are not eligible to apply for the dormitory.

(학부수료생,특수대학원)

2) If you are a student on a leave of absence and planning to return to school in fall semester 2024, you are eligible to apply for fall semester 2024. (2학기 복학 예정자)

3) If you are going to apply for the Korean Programs in Ajou university, you can stay in the Ajou university after confirmation from the CIE officer. (국제교육센터)

4) If you are a graduate student who completed the course work, you can ONLY apply to the dormitory when you submit the below documents.(대학원수료생)

- Statement of Supervisor 1 copy (download the attached form)

- Completion certificate 1 copy

* You can only stay in the dormitory up to 6 semesters from the completion date of coursework, if there are enough rooms in the dormitory

* If there are no enough capacityin the dormitory, your application will not be approved even though you submit all required documents.


5.APPLICANT ROUTE (신청경로):

1) For Enrolled Undergraduate, Graduate Students

Step 1. Access to Ajou portal https://mportal.ajou.ac.kr/main.do

Step 2. Click "로그인하세요(Log in)" Top right of the page

Step 3.Change language into English - it is bottom of the page

Step 4. Click "(New)Academic Affairs Information (학사서비스)"

Step 5. Click "Application for Student living"+

Step 6. Click "Dormitory Application" (Left side of the page)

For resident who wants to stay in the same room of summer semester 2024,you need to tick the question “I PREFER TO STAY IN THE SAME ROOM STAYING NOW”,when you apply for the dormitory in Ajou portal.

2) New Graduate student, Enrolled Exchange Students:

Log in at the online housing application system

After log in to the above website, please select the relevant option in blue box.

3) CIE Students for Korean Programs in Ajou university ( 국제교육센터 어학과정 학생)

7. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS BEFORE MOVE IN (입사전제출서류)

1) Due date of document submission: 24 AUGUST 2024 (SAT)

2) Tuberculosis test (결핵검사)

a. Before moving into the dormitory,all residents should submit the result of a Tuberculosis (TB) test.

If you have done the tuberculosis test, please do the test in advance before you move in.

If your tuberculosis test has expired from 24 AUG. 2024,you must submit a new TB test result to the dormitory office.The tuberculosis check result should be updated every year because it is valid for 1 year.

c. The result sheet must show either normal or abnormal of TB in English or Korean.

d. Submit viaGOOGLE FORM(Submission route of google form will be uploaded in the notice board separately, please see another notice)

3) STATEMENT OF SUPERVISOR, COMPLETION CERTIFICATEfor a graduate student who completed the course works

a. Please submit two copies viaGOOGLE FORM

b. You need to combine the above copies to One PDFfile

4) SUBMISSION ROUTE (서류제출경로)

All required documents need to be submitted to GOOGLE FORM by due date (24 AUG. 2024).

Link of the“GOOGLE FORM” for submission will be uploaded in the notice board later,

please check the upcoming notice.


8. DORMITORY FEE REFUND BEFORE MOVE IN DATE

(입사신청취소및입사비환불)

1)(여름학기입사자) If you are a student who stayed for the Summer Semester2024only, you have to move out from the dormitoryby 16 AUG. (FRI)and request for withdrawal of the dormitory application to the dormitory coordinator, then full amount of dormitory fee will be refunded.

2)(여름학기미입사자)If you did not stay in the dormitory for the Summer semester 2024, you have to request for the withdrawal of dormitory application to the dormitory coordinatorby 23 AUG. (Fri).

Then the full amount of the dormitory fee will be refunded.

3)To get a dormitory fee refund, you must have a bank account in Korea. We do not give a refund to the bank account overseas.

9. MOVE IN PROCEDURE (입사절차)

Press door bell at the gate > Bring along your student ID card > Report to the inspector of each building > Move in
