[Notice] Housing & Covid-19 rules for incoming students of 2nd semester of 2021

To minimize the spread of the COVID-19 infectious disease and ensure the safety of our incoming students, our dormitory provides the following guidelines: the Corona 19 test (PCR) for the all incoming students for the 2nd semester of 2021, operation of voluntary curfew hours, reporting contact with confirmed COVID-19 patients, allocation of residents per room,etc. Please take note.

 

1. PCR test and submission of test result

   incoming students of the second semester (new students):

    Submit the PCR test result within 2 days from the date of admission.

   incoming students of the second semester since summer vacation period (existing students):

    Submit the PCR test report from 30 to 31 August.

2. Voluntary curfew hours (temporarily implemented until the end of COVID-19)

Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 infectious disease and the spread of the Delta virus, for the safety of incoming students, we will temporarily implement a voluntary curfew (01:00 ~ 05:00), and the door will remain open.

Sleep disturbance of roommates and other students, drinking and noise making, entering and  lodging of non-residents, lending of ID -> penalty points or forced evacuation.

 

3. Reporting of contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19

Although the entire dormitory maintains self-preventive measures, active cooperation from incoming students is required. Please note that if an infectious disease spreads in the dormitory, all students might need to leave as dormitory is forced close by administrative order of local public health center.

   ※ In case of closure, you must move to an external facility. (The cost will be borne by you.)


4. Allocation of residents per room

    - Current: 4-person room for 2 people, 2-person room for 1 person (Hwahong Hall) / 2-person room for 2 people (International Dormitory)

    - After non-face-to-face classes period in September, the Infectious Disease Control Committee may additionally adjust the number of people per room in consideration of the COVID-19 situation from October.

    ※ If you move out due to additional allocation, the move-out fee will be refunded based on the move-out date, and it will take 2 to 3 weeks.

    ※ There is no additional entrance fee for minimum and maximum occupancy per room.


5. Contact

   - Weekdays (09:00 ~ 18:00): Dormitory Office 031) 219-2143 / 2144

     ※ Lunch time: 12:00 ~ 13:00

   - Weekday nights, weekends, and holidays: Inspector office on the 1st floor of each building


6. Instructions for Corona test results submission

    - Email: rebecca2109@ajou.ac.kr and cc: jhk1092@ajou.ac.kr

    - Building name, room number, name, student ID number, corona test result screenshot


7. Other

   - Be sure to refer to “Housing Guide” on the top menu of the dormitory website

   - Refer to the attached file for notification regarding contact with a confirmed COVID-19 patient
