Information on Global Internship Program

 

Please refer to the details below to know more about the Global Internship Program.

 

 a. Funds supported

1. Overseas internship funds will be granted above 1million won (The amount may differ based on the company and region).

2. Domestic internship funds will be granted with 400 thousand won for one month and 700 thousand won for two months.

3. Source of financial resources:

•           Business Administration: CK II Globiz project offers full scholarship

•           E-business: LINC (Leaders in Industry-university Cooperation) offers partial scholarships excluding 4.4% of the tax

4. Purpose of the scholarship are accommodation, transportation fee, round-trip airfare, living expenses, etc.

5. Date of the scholarship will be within 2 weeks after the submission of e-ticket and insurance.

 

b. Information on academic credit approval

1. Credit approval: 3 credits granted per month (Register from Office of the School of Business)

2. Students may acquire up to six credits during the vacation

3. Students may acquire up to 12 credits during the semester

 

※ Working hours, days and period for the different credits

3 credits: 4 weeks x 5 working days per week x 8 hours per day (160 working hours)

6 credits: 8 weeks x 5 working days per week x 8 hours per day (320 working hours)

9 credits: 12 weeks x 5 working days per week x 8 hours per day (480 working hours)

12 credits: 16 weeks x 5 working days per week x 8 hours per day (640 working hours)

 

c. Period of Internship: After confirmation of the date by the students in touch with the company should submit to abizcenter@ajou.ac.kr

 

d. Assessment method: 70% of company assessment + 30% of school assessment

1. 70% of the company assessment: Completion of a given evaluation form by the related company

2. 30% of the school assessment: Report of Internship (study plan, interim report, end term report, final report) + certification of training evaluation.

 

e. Agreement (Field Training Agreement): Written agreement on necessary requirements in relations to the internship program and to faithfully adhere to the agreement.

- Date of submission: First day of the internship (Company and internship students’ signatures are required)

 

f. Internship report - study plan, weekly logs, interim report, end term report, final report

1. Study plan: Formulate the objectives prior internship, research topics, detailed schedule, and methods and procedures for the work ahead

- Please submit the study plan after receiving a feedback by a professor via email

- Submission date

  • Dispatched intern for 1 month should submit on the first day of the internship.

  • Dispatched intern for 2 months or more should submit on Monday, 2nd week of the internship.

(Interns dispatched for 2 months or more are required to submit the study plan for the 2nd week due to coordination and suggestion from the representative in relations to the understanding of the tasks and duties to be carried out during the internship period)

2. Weekly logs: Records of the tasks completed and tasks that will be undertaken.

 - Scan and submit after receiving signature from the representative.

3. Interim report: Written on tasks progression, main activities, job report and topics up until the mid of Internship.

4. End term report: Report of job performance after the internship.

5. Final report: General description of the activities during the internship, field description, summary of learning activities, learning outcomes and other details (if required).

 

g. Training confirmation document and evaluation

1. Training evaluation document: To confirm the contents and submission of weekly reports, study plan, interim report, end term report

-  Request signature after confirmation by the representative of the related company.

 -  Scan and submit the completed documents after the internship.

※ Please check the file’s name before preparing as the training evaluation certificate’s format may differ depending on the period of internship

 

2.  Training evaluation: Evaluation by the company after the completion of the intern.

-  Students should scan and submit to ABIZ Center after evaluation has been completed by the representative of the related company.

 

※ Please submit all the reports before the due date no later than 23h00 to abizcenter@ajou.ac.kr

※  Please see all the examples of the internship report on the attached files as reference before completing the report.

Schedule

- The submission documents may differ depending on the period of internship

- The students in internships should submit all the documents before regular/seasonal semester, regardless of the completion of the internship period

 

i. Note

 1. To apply and receive scholarship in next semester after completion of the internship should have reasons for disqualification.

(Requirements: average grade of 2.0 or above, 13 credits above and no “F’s”)

2. Full tuition should be paid even though the students are only taking an internship credits.
