강연초록
Dehn surgery on a knot in the 3-sphere is one way of constucting a new manifold from the 3-sphere, which consists of two stage process: drilling and Dehn filling (gluing a solid torus on a torus boundary component).
In this talk, I will first start with some basic background on 3-manifolds and knots, and then talk about which knots allow which manifolds through Dehn surgery.
