Application for Thesis Advisor / Non-thesis Track

Dear students in the 3rd, 4th, 5th semester,

 

 

  1.       To 3rd semester students

 

I am writing on the thesis advisor allocation.  If you have passed the minimum requirement to be a thesis track, you can apply for Application for Thesis Advisor. 

Please note that the eligibility for writing a thesis is as below since 2014 fall semester.

 

- Research Methods Result: higher than B0
- Overall GPA: higher than 3.0 / 4.5

 

So, please let us know if you would like to graduate with writing a thesis or not. 

 

 

If you would like to be a thesis track, you should apply for the thesis advisor and submit the attached Preliminary Application form for thesis advisor from March 3rd to March 9th, 2016. 

Also, please note that you can refer the possible professors who can be a thesis advisor of yours. If you would like to ask to other professors besides those of them, please let us know it.

(Please note that the preliminary application do not guarantee that you’ll be allocated to that professor you write down.)

GSIS office will organize the meeting with department chair and allocate your thesis advisor and announce the allocation within March. 

 

If you haven’t thought your thesis advisor yet, you can just let us know your intention to write a thesis first without designating a professor’s name in the application form.

(It would be easier for us to allocate appropriate professor if you write down your thesis topic.)

 

 

If you don’t want to graduate with writing a thesis, please submit the attached Application for Non-thesis track. (By March 9th, 2016)

 

 

 

  1.       To 4th and 5th semester students

 

If you are in the thesis track now and have completed Research 1 in 2015 fall semester, you should be enrolled in Research 2 in 2016 spring semester.

If you didn’t register Research in 2016 spring semester, please send an email to us to request to enroll that course.  

(Please note that we cannot add or drop other courses except Research)
