[9/18(Fri.)] Special Lecture on Understanding the Cultural Difference

GSIS Office organized the special lecture on this Friday for all GSIS students regarding the Cultural Difference and Sexual Harassment Prevention.

 

1. Date : September 18th(Friday), 2015

2. Time Schedule
    1) 13:30 ~14:30 Cultural Difference(by Prof. Scott Scattergood, Ajou University)
    2) 14:30 ~ 16:00 Lecture on Prevention for Sexual Harassment(Dr. Sunmi Park, Chief of Center for HARANG Gender Equality)

3. Venue: Video Conference Room(#151), Yulgok Hall

4. Who should participate?
- 2015 Fall New students MUST take the two sessions. We will check the attendance.
- The current students are recommended to participate in.

 

We think that the current students as well as the new students need to get some ideas how foreigner can survived well in Korea overcoming the cultural difference.

 

The lecture for “Session 1. Cultural Difference” will be delivered by Prof. Scott Scattergood who has been live in Korea more than 10 years as a foreigner and having many try and trials. You can have a real story from him not the theoretic matters.
The lecture for “Session 2. Sexual Harassment Prevention” will be given by Dr. Sunmi Park, Chief of Center for HARANG Gender Equality and she will give you the sexual harassment cases upon the cultural differences.

 

I am sure that this sessions will be very helpful for all of you and hope many students can get the benefits from the special lectures.
