2024 SUMMER SEMESTER DORMITORY APPLICATION



For the residents for the spring semester 2024, you need to apply for the summer semester 2024 again, 

if you want to stay in summer semester so that you can stay in the Ajou dormitory continuously.



1. APPLICATION PERIODS (신청 기간): 29 MAY 2024 (WED) ~ 2 JUNE 2024 (SUN)

Ajou dormitory will not accept early move in and late move out, you cannot request to put your stuff before you move in.

3. NOTES FOR APPLICATION (신청시 유의사항)-> Make sure you read it

1) All buildings have the same application date.

2) If you apply for the same type of building for the spring semester, you will be allocated to the same room you lived in during the spring semester. Therefore, don't worry if you can't check the box indicating that you want to keep the room as it is when you apply.

And if you wish to stay in a different room for the summer semester, you can select your room through the Ajou portal system on June 10th.(The instructions will be posted on the website notice later, so please check it after you have been selected for the dormitory.)

3) During the summer vacation, the bed for the Hwahong hall 4-person room will be replaced with a new one. You will have to stay in another room during the bed replacement period. (To be announced later) Students applying for a 4-person room should keep this in mind.


4. CRITERIA OF APPLICANT (신청 대상):

Enrolled Undergraduate, Graduate Students, Exchange Student, CIE students for Korean programs.

1) If you are a prospective graduate in Aug 2024(8월졸업예정자), you can only stay in Ajou dormitory until summer semester 2024.

2) If you are an undergraduate student who completes the course work or a special graduate student, you are not eligible to apply for the dormitory. (학부수료생특수대학원)

3) If you are a student on a leave of absence and planning to return to school in fall semester 2024, you are eligible to apply for summer semester 2024. (2학기 복학 예정자)

4) If you are an exchange student who completes your exchange student program for spring semester, you are not eligible to apply for the dormitory for summer semester. (1학기교환학생)

5) If you are going to apply for the Korean Programs in Ajou university, you can stay in the Ajou university after confirmation from the CIE officer. (국제교육센터)

6) If you are a graduate student who completed the course work, you can ONLY apply to the dormitory when you submit the below documents. (대학원수료생)

- Statement of Supervisor 1 copy (download the attached form)

- Completion certificate 1 copy

* You can only stay in the dormitory up to 6 semesters from the completion date of coursework, if there are enough rooms in the dormitory

* If there are no enough capacity in the dormitory, your application will not be approved even though you submit all required documents.


5. APPLICATION ROUTE (신청 경로):

1) For Enrolled Undergraduate, Graduate Students

Step 1. Access to Ajou portal  https://mportal.ajou.ac.kr/main.do

Step 2. Click "로그인하세요(Log in)" Top right of the page

Step 3.Change language into English - it is bottom of the page

Step 4. Click "(New)Academic Affairs Information (학사서비스)"

Step 5. Click "Application for Student living"

Step 6. Click "Dormitory Application" (Left side of the page)

2) New Graduate student, Enrolled Exchange Students:

Log in at the online housing application system web page: https://ajou.ac.kr/edorm/index.do

After log in to the above website, please select the relevant option in blue box.


3) CIE Students for Korean Programs in Ajou university

7. OPERATION PERIOD OF THE DORMITORY FOR THE SUMMER SEMESTER 2024: 29 JUN. 2024 (SAT) ~ 17 AUG 2024 (SAT)

*Ajou dormitory will not accept early move in and late move out, you cannot request to put your stuff before you move in.


8. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS BEFORE MOVE IN (입사전 제출 서류)

1) Due date of document submission: 29 JUN. 2024 (SAT)

2) Tuberculosis test (결핵검사)

a. Before moving into the dormitory, all residents should submit the result of a Tuberculosis (TB) test. f you have done the tuberculosis test, please do the test in advance before you move in.

b. If your tuberculosis test has expired from 29 June 2024, 

you must submit a new TB test result to the dormitory office.   The tuberculosis check result should be updated every year because it is valid for 1 year.

c. The result sheet must show either normal or abnormal of TB in English or Korean.

d. Submit via GOOGLE FORM (Submission route of google form will be uploaded in the notice board separately, please see another notice)

3) STATEMENT OF SUPERVISOR, COMPLETION CERTIFICATE for a graduate student who completed the course works

a. Please submit two copies via GOOGLE FORM

b. You need to combine the above copies to OnePDF file


 4) SUBMISSION ROUTE (서류 제출 경로)

All required documents need to be submitted to GOOGLE FORM by due date (29 Jun. 2024).

Link of the  “GOOGLE FORM” for submission will be uploaded in the notice board later, please check the upcoming notice.


9. DORMITORY FEE REFUND BEFORE MOVE IN DATE (하계 방학 입사신청 취소및 입사비 환불)

a. (1학기입사자) If you are a student who stayed for the Spring Semester 2024 only, you have to move out from the dormitory by 24 June (Mon) and request for withdrawal of dormitory application to the dormitory coordinator, then full amount of dormitory fee will be refunded. After 24 June 2024, there will be no refundable amount including move out in the interim.

b. (1학기미입사자)If you did notstay in the dormitory for the Spring semester 2024, you have to request for the withdrawal of dormitory application to the dormitory coordinator by 28 June (Fri). Then the full amount of the dormitory fee will be refunded. After 28 Jun 2024, there will be no refundable amount including move out in the interim.

cTo get a dormitory fee refund, you must have a bank account in Korea. We do not give a refund to the bank account overseas.


10. MOVE IN PROCEDURE (입사 절차)

Press door bell at the gate > Bring along your student ID card > Report to the inspector of each building > Move in


11. OTHERS (기타 유의사항)

1) During the vacation, even if you move out early, the dormitory fee will not be refunded.

2) When you violate the dormitory regulation and your penalty points are accumulated up to 30 points, you will be out from the dormitory. A scholarship student is not an exception, your dormitory scholarship will not be refunded. (See dormitory regulations via the link below)

3) A general house cleaning is scheduled during the vacation, please cooperate with the housecleaning schedule.
