DORMITORY APPLICATOIN FOR SRPING SEMESTER 2023

 Ajou dormitory is informing of the dormitory application notice for 2023 Spring semester. As the application period for each building differ, please read the items mentioned below carefully.

2023년 1학기 생활관 입사 신청에 관련된 안내입니다. 건물 별 신청기간이 다르니 잘 확인하여 신청 바랍니다.

1. OPERATION PERIOD OF THE DORMITORY FOR THE SPRING SEMESTER OF YEAR 2023:

   22 Feb 2023 (Wed) ~ 24 Jun 2023 (Sat)*  Early move in and late move out are not advisable, you have to follow the above schedule.

2023년 생활관 운영기간: 2023년 2월 22일 (수) ~ 2023년 6월 24일 (토)

입사일 전 조기 입사나 퇴사일 후의 거주기간 연장은 불가능합니다.

2. WHO CAN APPLY (신청 대상자):

   1) New and Existing Undergraduate, Graduate, Law School, Exchange, CIE  Students:

학부, 대학원 신입생 및 재학생, 교환학생, 국제교육센터 법전원 학생

   2) If you are a graduate student who completed the course works, you can ONLY apply to the dormitory when you submit  below documents.

대학원 수료생, 수료생은 아래 서류를 제출하지 않으면 신청/선발이 취소될 수 있습니다.

      - Statement of Supervisor 1 copy 

        지도교수 의견서 1부

      - Completion certificate 1 copy

        수료증 1부

*you can only stay in the dormitory up to 6 semesters from the completion date of coursework, if there are enough rooms in the dormitory. 

수료 후 최대 6학기까지 거주 가능하며, 신입생과 재학생(교환학생 등) 선발 후 남는 자리가 있을 경우 선발이 가능합니다.

* If there are no enough capacity in the dormitory, your application will not be approved even though you submitted all required documents.

 기숙사 내 남는 자리가 없을 경우, 서류를 제출했더라도 신청을 취소할 수 있습니다.

3. APPLICATION PERIODS (신청기간):

1) International dormitory: 14 Jan 2023 (Sat)~ 17 Jan 2023 (Tue)

    국제학사: 2023년 1월 14일(토) ~ 2023년 1월 17일(화)

   2) Hwahong hall 2-person bedroom: 21 Jan 2023 (Sat) ~ 25 Jan 2023 (Wed)

화홍관 2인실: 2023년 1월 21일(토) ~ 2023년 1월 25일(수)

   3) Hwahong hall 4-person bedroom: 28 Jan 2023 (Sat) ~ 31 Jan 2023 (Tue)

화홍관 4인실: 2023년 1월 28일(토) ~ 2023년 1월 31일(화)

4. ANNOUNCEMENT OF SELECTED INCOMING STUDENT (합격자 발표):

   1) International dormitory: 20 Jan 2023 (Fri)

       국제학사: 2023년 1월 20일 (금)

   2) Hwahong hall 2-person bedroom: 27 Jan 2023 (Fri)

       화홍관 2인실: 2023년 1월 27일 (금)

   3) Hwahong hall 4-person bedroom: 3 Feb 2023 (Fri)
       화홍관 4인실: 2023년 2월 3일 (금)

   4) Availability of single room at Hwahong hall, liaise with the dormitory coordinator (Email, Office number mentioned below).

     화홍관 1인실 입사 가능 여부는, 생활관에 직접 문의하시기 바랍니다.

5.  PRECAUTIONS DURING THE APPLICATION (신청 시 유의 사항):

   1) If you are accepted, you are not able to apply for another building in next application period, please do apply for dormitory carefully.

     eg. If you are accepted for the international dormitory, you cannot apply for the Hwahong hall.

 신청한 건물에 합격할 경우, 다음 차수에 다른 건물을 신청할 수 없습니다. 입사 신청 시, 입사를 원하는 건물로 신청하도록 주의하시기 바랍니다.

예시. 국제학사에 합격한 학생은 화홍관을 신청할 수 없습니다.

   2) If you are not accepted, your name will be listed on the waiting list. If you apply for the another building in the next application period, your name will be removed from the waiting list of previous application.

 신청한 건물에 합격되지 못한 학생은 대기자 명단에 등록될 것입니다. 다음 차수에 다른 건물로 신청할 경우 이전 차수의 대기자 명단에서 삭제될 것입니다.

   3) Student who enters the graduate school after the completion of undergraduate from the Ajou university, please apply for the dormitory with your new Student ID number given for a Graduate student. If you apply for the dormitory with old Student ID, you cannot move in the dormitory.

아주대학교 학부 졸업 후, 대학원에 진학하는 학생은 반드시 대학원 신입생으로 신청하셔야 합니다. 학부 아이디로 신청 시 입사가 불가능합니다.

4) For exchange student, do apply for the dormitory via the route for exchange student from the dormitory website, do not apply for the dormitory via the Ajou portal.

교환학생들은 기숙사 홈페이지에 있는 교환학생 경로에서 기숙사 신청을 해야 합니다. 아주 포털로 기숙사 신청을 해서는 안됩니다.

6. APPLICATION ROUTE (입사 신청방법):

  1) For Enrolled Undergraduate, Graduate Students 학부, 대학원 재학생

Step 1. Access to Ajou portal  https://mportal.ajou.ac.kr/main.do

Step 2. Click "로그인하세요(Log in)" Top right of the page

Step 3.Change language into English - it is bottom of the page

Step 4. Click "(New)Academic Affairs Information (학사서비스)"

Step 5. Click "Application for Student living"

Step 6. Click "Dormitory Application" (Left side of the page)

  2) New Undergraduate student, New Graduate student, Exchange Students, etc.:

학부, 대학원 신입생 및 교환학생

Log in at the online housing application system web page: https://edorm.ajou.ac.kr/edorm/index.jsp

After log in to the above website, please select the relevant option in blue box on center left of the homepage.

생활관 영문 홈페이지에 접속하여 왼쪽 중앙의 파란색 배너의 해당되는 옵션을 선택하십시오. 

  3) CIE for Korean Programs 국제교육센터

To apply for the dormitory, you can email to dormitory coordinator during the application periods. If you want to visit the dormitory office, please visit us during the periods mentioned below.

기숙사 신청을 희망하는 국제교육센터 학생들은 기숙사 신청기간에 생활관 코디네이터에게 이메일을 보내야 합니다. 사무실을 방문을 원하는 학생들은 아래 날짜에 사무실을 방문하도록 하십시오.

8. ROOM ALLOCATION REQUEST 호실배정 요청

- If you have any request regarding room allocation, you need to submit the GOOGLE FORM from 6 February to 9 February 2023 ONLY. GOOGLE FORM will be notified on the dormitory website on the 1^st week of February.

호실 배정 관련해서 요청사항이 있을 경우, 2023년 2월 6일에서 9일에 구글폼을 작성해야 합니다. 구글폼은 2월 첫째 주에 홈페이지에 공지될 것입니다.

- Due to some circumstance, your request may not be accepted. 

경우에 따라, 요청사항이 받아들여지지 않을 수 있습니다.

- It is not advisable for you to request us to stay alone when you apply for the 2 bedroom or 4 bedroom. If you want to stay alone, consider applying for a single.

2인실이나 4인실에 혼자 살고 싶다고 요청하지 마십시오.

9. REGISTRATION PERIODS (PAYMENT) 등록기간 (기숙사비 납부기간): 

   13 Feb 2023 (Mon) ~ 17 Feb 2023 (Fri)

   2023년 2월 13일 (월) ~ 2023년 2월 17일 (금)

We will notify further details on the dormitory website early February.

자세한 사항은 2월 초에 기숙사 홈페이지에 공지하도록 하겠습니다.

10. Required documents before move in (입사 전 제출 서류)

  1) Tuberculosis Test (결핵검사)

a. Before moving into the dormitory, all residents should submit the result of a Tuberculosis (TB) test.

     기숙사에 입사하기 전에, 입사생 전원 결핵검사 결과지를 제출해야 합니다.

b. The result sheet must show either normal or abnormal of TB in English or Korean.

    결핵검사 결과는 영문 혹은 국문으로 된 것이어야 합니다.

c. Without the result sheet, students cannot move in the dormitory. The tuberculosis check result should be updated every year because it is valid for 1 year.

    결핵검사 결과지를 제출하지 않으면 기숙사에 입사할 수 없습니다. 결과지 유효기간은 1년이기 때문에 매년 업데이트 해야 합니다.

d. If your tuberculosis test has expired, you must submit a new TB test result to the dormitory office.

   결핵검사지가 만료되었을 경우, 새로운 검사결과지를 기숙사 사무실에 제출해야 합니다.

   2) PCR, Rapid antigen test result or Self test kit (Your name must be written on the kit)

       PCR, 신속항원검사, 자가검진키트 (자가검진 키트를 사용할 경우, 키트에 본인의 성명을 기입해야 합니다.)

 a. Rapid antigen test or self test kit must be conducted within 2 days from your move in day.

     신속항원검사나 자가검진키트 검사는 입사 전 2일 이내에 실시해야 합니다. (실제 입사일 기준)

 b. For Chinese from mainland China, you have to submit a rapid antigen test or PCR test result within 24 hours from your arrival to Korea. And the test must be taken from Korea airport or public health center.

     중국발 해외입국자는 한국 공항이나 보건소에서 검사한 신속항원검사나 PCR 검사 결과를 제출해야 합니다.

b-1. If you are not able to get the COVID test result taken from Korea on the date of expected move in, please find the hostel in advance. You cannot move in until you get the test result from public health center or airport to make sure that you are tested negative.

  한국에서 실시한 코로나 검사결과를 입사일 당일에 받기 어려운 학생들은 미리 외부 숙소를 알아보시기 바랍니다. 코로나 확산 방지를 위해 검사결과를 받기 전까지는 입사할 수 없습니다.  검사결과가 음성이어야 기숙사에 입사할 수 있습니다.

 c.  According to the government regulations, this may be applicable to the overseas entrants from other countries later.

     추후 한국 정부의 방역 지침에 따라 다른 나라에서 들어온 해외입국자에 적용될 수 있습니다.

d. If you are tested positive during your stay in the dormitory, you need to find the quarantine place by yourself and the cost is borne by you.

입사기간 동안 코로나 검사 결과가 양성이 나올 경우, 격리할 장소를 스스로 알아 봐야 하며 비용은 본인 부담입니다.

e. Submit via GOOGLE FORM (Submission route of google form will be uploaded in the notice board separately, please see another notice)

구글폼으로 제출하십시오.

3) STATEMENT OF SUPERVISOR, COMPLETION CERTIFICATE for a graduate student who completed the course works

대학원 수료생

 a. Please submit two copies via GOOGLE FORM

 b. You need to combine the above copies to One PDF file

4) Submission route 제출 경로

  a. All required documents need to be submitted to GOOGLE FORM.

   모든 서류는 구글폼으로 제출해야 합니다.

  b. Due date of submission: Before the date of your actual moving in.

   제출기한: 실제 입사일 전

  c. Link of the  “GOOGLE FORM” for submission will be uploaded in the notice board later, please check the upcoming notice.

 구글폼 경로는 추후에 기숙사 홈페이지에 공지하도록 하겠습니다.
